The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology announced the introduction of the National Award for Innovation Leaders in the Mining and Mining Industries Sector and said: This award will be unveiled in February of this year.
According to the Public Relations Department of Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Mehdi Majidpour said: The implementation of innovation in mining and mining industries was initiated at the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology in cooperation with the Faculty of Mining Engineering and the support of IMIDRO and IMINU.
Stating that the planning for the event for the Innovation Leaders in the Mining and Mining Industries Sector Award dates back three years, he said: The MITA- Mines & Mining Industries Innovation & Technology Award has been developed with the aim of creating dynamism in companies to move towards creativity and innovation, financial growth and improving productivity by using new technologies, and on the other hand, creating opportunities for growth and learning from innovation leaders.
Majidpour stated that this event is supported by the IMINO and IMIDRO groups and stated: “The MITA Award is structured on the one hand by examining innovation assessment models and global innovation indicators such as the 2018 Oslo Guide, and on the other hand by analyzing the world’s leading innovation awards in the mining sector such as the Canadian TSM Award, the Swedish Mining Innovation Award, the Australian Innovation Award, and the British Innovation Survey.”
According to him, the structural model for evaluating innovation in the MITA Award is designed in four pillars: innovation drivers, innovative activities, innovation, and innovation outcomes.
The Dean of the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology noted: Companies are awarded points in the MITA Award model in three categories: global, national, and startup, and in each category, companies active in the field of innovation are awarded a certificate of appreciation, and innovative companies are awarded bronze, silver, and gold medals based on the quorum of points.
Majidpour mentioned one of the important achievements of this project as the training and cadre building of the team of evaluators and reminded: In this project, 20 people were trained to evaluate innovation in companies and validate data by the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology, who will be responsible for the implementation of this national project. It is worth mentioning: Dr. Salimi and Dr. Roshni, professors of the Faculty of Management, are responsible for the implementation of this project.
