The University-Industry Cooperation Meeting in the Mining Sector was held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at Amirkabir University of Technology.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Alireza Rahaei, the Honorable Dean of Amirkabir University of Technology, Dr. Hooman Hadian, the Honorable Dean of the Advanced Industries and Mines Office, Mr. Engineer Mohammadreza Bahraman, the Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Iranian Mining House and the Vice President of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, managers of some mining companies, and a group of professors from the Faculties of Management, Science and Technology, Mining Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, and Chemical Engineering.
The meeting was held in three parts. In the first part, Dr. Mehdi Majidpour, the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology, welcomed the audience to the meeting and provided explanations about the purpose of the meeting. Then, Dr. Hamed Moladaoudi, the Honorable Dean of the Faculty of Mining Engineering, welcomed the meeting and emphasized that there is good capacity in the aforementioned law. Then, Mr. Engineer Bahraman provided additional explanations about Note 5, Article 14 of the Mining Law. Then, Dr. Rahaei spoke about the nature of this meeting and its usefulness. The second part was about questions and answers, where the professors raised their questions and ambiguities about the nature of Note 5, Article 14 of the Mining Law, which were answered by Mr. Bahraman and Mr. Hadian. In the third part, a number of initial forms for documenting technological requirements (RFP) that had been submitted by some mining companies were reviewed for the professors’ information so that they could express their readiness to submit a proposal if they wished. At the end of the meeting, it was decided that in order to complete the process, the professors and companies should contact the secretariat related to the implementation of this law, which will be formed in cooperation with the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology, the Ministry of Mines and the Iranian Mining House.
