Thanks to the efforts of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology, the first higher education course for managers in the field of mines and mining industries in the country has been designed and is being implemented.
According to the public relations report of Amirkabir University of Technology: Dr. Mehdi Majidpour, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology, announced this news and said: The lack of necessary knowledge in the field of mining business management, economics, policy-making and governance of mines has caused the mining and mining industries sector to be far from flourishing. This is while the mining sector in the country has a high capacity to play a role in the national economy and is one of the industrial and economic priorities of the country.
Dr. Majidpour added: According to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, Amirkabir University of Technology is the mother of the country’s industrial universities, and it was expected that this university, which has faculties of management, mining engineering and materials engineering and metallurgy, would also be a pioneer and pioneer in filling the knowledge and skills gap in the management of mines and mining industries.
He said: “On this basis, after conducting the necessary studies and establishing constructive interactions with the country’s mining managers, for the first time, an advanced course for training executive managers in the mining and mining industries sector has been designed and is currently being implemented. Iran Mining House is the main partner in designing and holding this course and has provided many contributions to holding this course, which is worthy of appreciation and gratitude.” The Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology noted: This course is the result of numerous efforts, interactions and discussions between Amirkabir University of Technology, commercial companies and mining organizations. More than a year was spent in holding this course properly and designing the course titles, syllabuses and their content in accordance with the latest scientific advances in the world and the needs of the country’s mining and mining industries sector. Dr. Majidpour stated: The instructors of this course are distinguished professors and the audience of this course is key managers of mining companies. The course will last for several years and students will be awarded a valid certificate from Amirkabir University of Technology at the end of the course.
