Launching a Maritime Business Development Center at Amirkabir University of Technology

In the presence of Dr. Ali Abdolalizadeh, the President’s representative in coordinating the implementation of general policies for maritime development, the country’s first maritime development business center was inaugurated at the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology.
Dr. Mehdi Majidpour, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology, said at the ceremony: In order to implement the policies announced by the Supreme Leader regarding maritime development, Amirkabir University of Technology has seriously entered into operation and the first maritime business development center has started operating at the Faculty of Management. This center began operating on a trial basis in February 1402, and so far, two postdoctoral researchers and several doctoral and master’s students have been working in this center, and their research titles have also been defined in topics related to maritime management and economics.
He noted: Maritime development is not possible with engineering knowledge alone and requires science and knowledge in the field of maritime economics, maritime development strategies, industrial ecosystem and innovation, and in general, the science of management, economics, and policymaking.
This professor of Amirkabir University of Technology stated: The elite and young staff of the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology has provided a huge potential for moving in this direction.
The Dean of the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology said: After the trial period of this center and ensuring its performance and efficiency, we are now witnessing its official inauguration by the relevant authorities, especially by the representative of the President. This center will bring blessings and good achievements to the young generation and the future of the country, by the grace of God.
Dr. Abdolalizadeh, the representative of the President in coordinating the implementation of general policies for sea-oriented development, expressed his satisfaction with the establishment of this center in the Faculty of Management of Amirkabir University of Technology and said: This center can play a fundamental role in linking the government, university and industry.
He defined ten important missions for this center, such as consulting and policy-making, market analysis, investment analysis and financing, international interactions and networking.
Also present at the meeting were Dr. Saeedi, CEO of Shasta, Dr. Alipour, CEO of Sadra, Mr. Jafari, CEO of Izoveco, and Mr. Salari, Head of the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Marine Industries, who shared some points about the center’s important missions. Finally, some professors of the Faculty of Management, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral and master’s students presented their research achievements.
