Opening of the “Political Dialogue” series of meetings

The opening of the series of “Political Discourse” meetings hosted by the Faculty of Management, Science and Technology of Amirkabir University of Technology and in partnership with the Research Center of the Islamic Consultative Assembly was held.

In an exclusive interview with a reporter from the Iranian Broadcasting Corporation, Dr. Mehdi Majidpour added: “In order to advance the goals in the country and to be able to use the capacity of the country’s elite in universities, industry and policy-making institutions, we need a political discourse.”

Dr. Majidpour added: The first meeting of the series of policy dialogue meetings at Amirkabir University of Technology is being held at a time when there are many capacities in the country, but we need a communicative rationality to solve the country’s key issues. He added that policy-making institutions, industrial enterprises, universities and economic organizations should pave the way for the country’s progress more than before through constructive dialogues and conflicting opinions. As a rule, major decisions in the country, such as importing cars, should be accompanied by theory-building sessions, and without such sessions, correct decisions cannot be made with public opinion persuasion.

Dr. Babak Negahdari, head of the Majlis Research Center, continued, emphasizing that Iran has very high capacities in terms of human and elite forces, and the Majlis Research Center has numerous programs to maximize the capacity of the country’s elites in various fields.

Dr. Babak Neghadari also emphasized the economic interdependence with regional countries and the exchange of goods, services and energy, and considered this important factor to stabilize and enhance the country’s security. At the end of the talks, the head of the Majlis Research Center, while referring to the knowledge-based economy as one of the windows of opportunity in the country, emphasized that given the formation of a knowledge-based platform in the country, it is necessary to seriously use this capacity to meet the country’s needs.
